If you want to master the guitar you’re going to need some help. Everything in the world that you can do on your own is never going to help as much as having real lessons. That’s because it’s just too difficult to figure out all the mechanics of playing guitar.

You can almost always find combination packs from the brands that are offshoots from major guitar manufacturers. Like Fender has their Squire sets which are still good, but that are priced well.

You can also find more affordable gear from Gibson under the name of Epiphone. That way, you can save on the cost that you’re having to incur to get started as a musician, because it really isn’t cheap.

You’ve got to grow the skin on your hand thick enough to play guitar. You can only do that on your fingers by playing guitar more and more often. Otherwise you’re not getting anywhere with your instrument.

The main thing with playing an instrument is just like anything else. You’ve got to get educated, and you’ve got to practice. Without doing both things you’re never going to be able to make things happen.

You’re going to find that you have to know certain things like how to play certain scales, because that’s what you use to make yourself better. But you can only learn them through a teacher.

That’s where an instructor of some sort can really be beneficial. They are so helpful at teaching you how to play an instrument properly, and that’s always why they can be worth the big bucks.

Combining what you can learn from an instructor, and what you can learn on your own from practicing is the only way that you can get really good at playing guitar. But you’ve got to get to that step.
